I am a foodie and my next trip is going to be so boring. I have to attend a conference in Scottsdale, Arizona and I am trying to make the most of it. The idea of being in a place that serves Tex-Mex and Southwestern cuisine is not my idea of a great time. This is probably because I am not a big fan of spicy thing, beans or corn. My guess is that there are many other food options, but I am going to have to dig around to see if I can unearth them.
The first thing I need to do is check to see if they have any great Asian food. I will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and I do not want to go too far away from there. I am not going to have a rental car and the idea of spending a ton of money on taxis is not very appealing to me. I also want to see if I can find food options that are reasonably healthy. The idea of eating things that are fried and/or laden with cheese is another thing I run into frequently when I am visiting certain parts of the US.
The conference center I will be headed to is across town from the hotel, so I will need to look for food options around there as well. In case you couldn’t tell, I am really picky and I am not a fan of most of the food that is given to people when they go to this kind of event. It would be nice to run out and grab something really quick and get back before people even notice I am gone. A place that has great sandwiches, salads and other quick fare would be ideal.
One thing I am excited about is meeting up with a friend of mine and going to Maya Day & Night Club. I have been going through a lot lately and it would be wonderful to find a place where I can let my hair down. I heard that this place is as exciting as going to Vegas, so I know that I will have a great time. So far I am a little stumped about what I am going to be eating, but I seem to have all of the rest under control.
